A medical appointment, and the purchase of roofing materials, took up the better part of the day. In addition to the 21 bundles of shingles (pictured below), I picked up two more sheets of plywood. When I cut one of the sheets in half, those two large pieces were the last to go up, and almost finished that phase of the project. I added one more roof joist on the very end of the structure, and will cover that last small area with plywood today. When the slow process of putting down each individual roofing shingle is finished, the garage addition will be pretty close to being completed. Some paint and trim pieces will complete the project. Still a few days to go before it's all done.
It was a total of 10 days, that our Snoopy Cat had to wear the cone around her neck. A couple of days ago, she regained her freedom, when we removed the collar. Even though she wasn't a very happy camper, the device did its job, and her incision is healing up very nicely. Tomorrow, we take her back to the Vet, and she'll have the staples removed.
An email from my son Mike in Georgia, indicated that even though they took a direct hit from this huge eastern storm, they've come through it OK, with no major impact, other than an inch or so of ice on everything. I hope the weather changes for the better in a few weeks, when Marc and I fly back for a visit.
