SPRING CLEANING IN DEC

 One of  several piles destined for the landfill.  We've already taken multiple boxes to local charities.

One of the few good things about moving, is the opportunity to get rid of a bunch of stuff, that has done nothing more than take up space.  As we pack everything up, many items will not be making the trip to Tucson, but rather, the destination is either the garbage pile, or one of the local charities.  On three separate occasions, I've put things like my basketball hoop, and an old leather chair out next to the street with a "free" sign.  All three times, they were gone within a short period of time.  The word "free", is a very powerful word!

Yesterday morning, with the Jeep full of donations to local charities, Patty dropped it all off, and we've already got more stuff to give away.  We originally had intentions of  doing a large garage sale, but we're out of time, and besides, it's much easier to just haul the stuff away. 

The shed is now empty, as is my little shop area in the garage.   Except for the furniture, most everything in the house is packed up, and the little bit that's left, should make it's way into boxes today.  I'm glad we had over a week to get all of this done, and it looks like we'll be ready for the movers when they arrive on Sunday.  When I look at all of the boxes, the furniture, and everything else, I wonder if we'll be able to get it all moved in this one trip.  I guess we'll find out on Sunday.
