MOVING DAY

Today is finally the day!  The movers are scheduled to be here this morning, pack everything (hopefully) up, and then, we'll make the drive back to Tucson.  We should be out of here around mid day, which will put us in Tucson about 6 hours later.  This will be a big milestone to get past, and once we have all of our stuff at the new place, then we can get it all organized at our own pace.  It feels like we've been meeting one deadline after another, and we're both looking forward to being at the new property with all of our stuff, which will be unloaded tomorrow morning.

Since we arrived back in Lake Havasu, the local real estate agents have been busy.  Our real estate lady, Denise, has called us a bunch of times in the week that we've been here,  to make appointments for prospective buyers.  Yesterday, we had folks from Minnesota, then from Southern CA, take a look at the property.  Yesterday evening, Denise called, and made another appointment for the CA folks to come back this morning for a second look.  According to their real estate agent, they have narrowed their search down to our place, and another house.  It sure would be nice to get an offer, and see where that goes.  But, as I've said before, we're in no hurry, and our asking price of $215,000 is just about what we have invested in the place.  The days of making a bunch of money from equity growth are gone for the foreseeable future, and if we can get close to what we have spent on the property, that's about as good as it gets in this day and age.
