We spent the afternoon at Marc, Chandra, & Laila's, after the traditional Easter Egg hunt had already taken place. 32 eggs were hidden by the Easter Bunny, and all 32 eggs were found by Miss Laila. 12 of those eggs were colored by Laila & Grandma before we left the Verde Valley.
We were joined by Marc's Aunt Claudia, and close family friend Sam. Being around family & friends, particularly on holidays like Easter, is one of life's simple treasures. Visiting, and just being close to those that you love is very special. Chandra fixed a wonderful dinner, and by the time we headed back home, we were all stuffed, and it was about 6pm. With our other two boys, Mike & Dave on opposite sides of the country, getting everyone together probably isn't going to happen anytime soon, but we're working on that, hopefully somewhere in the not too distant future.
Today, it's back to work on the property. The driveway contractor will be here either today, or tomorrow, with an estimated 200 tons of fill dirt. If he doesn't show today, I'm heading to the landfill, to empty my trailer of brush and small trees that I removed from the driveway perimeter last week. Then, I'm headed over to a business that sells RR Ties. I need several for gate posts, and for a few other projects. The next few days will be busy.
