One of the next projects on my "to do list" before we leave in a few weeks, is to build & install a gate across our driveway. The solar powered gate opener came yesterday, and the rest of the materials are supposed to be here tomorrow. The last picture shows what the two separate gates will look like when I'm finished. The gate opener will control one side of the dual gate, and the other side (both 10' wide), will be semi stationary, with a lockable post.
The gate will be across the driveway, about where the new asphalt will end, near the tree on the left.
It should look something like this when I'm finished.
On the good news front, Marc called and said he had spoken with his brother Mike, who just landed in Maryland on his return from Afghanistan. By this morning, Mike should be home, or close to home in Augusta. We're all glad you're back son, and hope that there aren't any future assignments over there.
