WE'RE OUTA HERE

I spent yesterday alternating between getting the motor home packed, and emptying more boxes in the garage.  Most everything that was in the Lake Havasu garage is now unpacked, and either on shelves, or in cabinets.  I'm starting to feel good about clearing out the pile of boxes and other stuff that has been stacked in the middle of the garage.  Still a ways to go, but I'm making progress, and my shop area is just about done.

This morning, we're hitting the road for a long overdue trip in the motor home. First destination is about 400 miles to Indio, CA.  We'll be attending the Family Motor Coach Ass'n Western Regional Rally, where we'll meet up with about 15 coaches from our Golden Spike RV  Chapter.  We always have a good time at this event, and it will be good to see our friends once again.

From Indio, we'll be traveling to Yuma, AZ for a week, and Nancy will be traveling with us.  We have a week booked at the Suni Sands RV park, which is an Encore Park, and part of the Thousand Trails network.  Because of our T.T. membership, we get a reduced weekly rate at all of the Encore parks.

From Yuma, it will be an 80 mile drive up Hwy 95 to the big RV gathering in Quartzsite, AZ.  I've lost track of how many years we've made this pilgrimage to what some people call the largest gathering of RV's in the world.  I think this year will put us at around 20 straight years of attending the big RV show, and Flea Markets in Quartzsite.   Parking in the desert, off the grid, has it's challenges, but we've always enjoyed the primitive camping, usually ending most days with our friends around a campfire.

Back at ya tomorrow from Indio, CA.
