Lots of people call it "Old Timers", others may be a bit kinder with their description of memory lapses, but the fact of the matter is......young, or old, we all forget certain things. According to some, forgetfulness is more a convenience thing, and not really an omission or oversight at all. In my case, prioritizing things to do, is usually about my ability (or lack thereof), to plan ahead, anticipating what will, or will not be needed.
When preparing for this motor home trip, we had to do the usual transfer of stuff from the house, back into the RV. As you might imagine, on top of moving our entire household from Lake Havasu City to Tucson, more than a few things have not yet resurfaced. With lots of boxes still unpacked, when something is missing, it has been easy to say that whatever the item is, it must still be in a box somewhere. Well I can't use that excuse for this one particular item that didn't find it's way back into the motor home. That item is the transfer cable that allows me to remove pictures from my Nikon Camera, and place them in the computer. No excuses, I simply forgot the darned thing! The RV rally officially starts tomorrow, so one of the things on today's "to do" list, is an attempt to buy another cable.
Yesterday morning, our group of 15 motor homes moved from the Wal Mart parking lot, to the fairgrounds. After getting everything situated, we visited with our friends, many of whom we hadn't seen in several months. As with any group, certain friendships have developed quicker than others, and after socializing for several hours, Patty and I, Nancy, Bill & "D" Hall, all headed for one of our favorite restaurants, simple called "Fisherman's". Bill & "D" introduced us to this very unique seafood place in the middle of the desert, and we look forward to returning every year. We all agreed, our meals were outstanding, and after devouring my crab salad, I stuffed myself even more, with an order of fish & chips. By the time we got back to the fairgrounds, it was time for a little TV, and off to bed.
