Chandra & Marc fed us King Crab last night! What a treat!
The motor home is parked at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds, and I'm not driving another mile for at least two weeks. A little over 1,500 miles in the last 3 days is enough driving for awhile. I might even let Patty drive the jeep if we go anywhere. Well, maybe I better think about that for at least a second and a half. Me driving the jeep a short distance, might be better than having a severe panic attack, or even worse, some other kind of back seat driver affliction.
The drive from Lake Havasu was it's usual 6 hours, with a fuel stop at the ZIP Truck stop on I10 at exit 45. We had a few sprinkles along the way, but not enough to even get the road surface wet. Our merchandise trailer arrives this afternoon, and we'll start getting it ready for the rodeo, which begins this Saturday.
When we arrived at Marc & Chandra's house last night, we got big hugs, especially from Laila, who was hiding next to the front door. The surprise news was that we were having Alaskan King Crab for dinner, and boy was it good! In the blessing before the meal, Marc asked that Uncle Mike stay safe while in Afghanistan, and that the same good fate be extended to all of our military serving their country. We made some tentative plans for the next few days, in between, or after our rodeo stuff. Shortly after dinner, Laila was off to bed (school night), and we left a little later.
