LIARD HOT SPRINGS, B.C. TO FORT ST. JOHN, B.C.
Constructions zones are one of the negatives of driving on the Alaska Hwy. In order to maintain the road, virtually all work must be done during a 4 month, summer window. It's simply not possible to do any work on the road during the winters months, when everything is frozen. So, the summer traveler has to deal with dust, mud, oil, and the ever present gravel rocks.
Yesterday was another long day, as we drove from Liard Hot Springs, to Fort St. John. Due to several appointments (new windshield, dentist, & motor home services) in OR, for the last several days, we've been putting on the miles. We need to be in the Albany/Eugene area by Monday, and we're on a schedule to get there about a day early. A few more long driving days, then we'll be able to get back into the summer vacation mode, and relax a bit. The rest of July, Aug, and perhaps some of Sep will be spent in OR, and WA.
Rotary RV Park, Fort St. John - $31.20 Cumulative RV Parks - $1,382.13
Miles traveled - 426 Total miles - 6,999
