Yesterday, we got a call from our favorite Real Estate lady, Denise Strong. She has been working with our friends, Bob & Diana, in an attempt to help them find a home to purchase. No, they're not moving here permanently from Enterprise, OR, but rather, have decided like thousands of other snowbirds, there is a better option for the harsh, cold winters of the north.
The news from Denise was that she had submitted an offer for Bob & Diana, and it was accepted by the seller. The real good news was that based on Denise's advice, the offer was lower than what Bob had considered, and so they will be getting the place for thousands less than expected.
Patty and I had met Denise at the house a couple of days ago, and when we checked it out for Bob & Diana, we were impressed at how much work had been done to the property. Everything was new, from the roof to the new tile & carpet floors. New cabinets, appliances, dual paned windows, paint, stucco, and a bunch of other stuff. It's a really nice house that just needs some furniture.
Bob and Diana are on their way here as I write this, with an arrival some time later today. Unfortunately, we're leaving tomorrow morning, so won't have much time to spend with our buddies. Tomorrow, they'll be looking at the house, and making the final decision. If it's a go, the winter population of Lake Havasu will be increased by a total of 2.
